With the weather in NE as unpredictable as this game the rain was heavy getting to the rink.. Must have slowed our girls down as they traded goals to start but would slip to a 4-1 deficit as they could not produce in the Grand Rapids MI teams end. The 2nd half it looked like they started to gel a little with a blast from the blue line setting the stage for a great comeback.. They battled back to a 5-4 lead and the Griffins pulled the goalie but could not put in the equilizer. Mass Spitfires pulled this one together late but it was good for a win.
