Nobles has had a great season and came into this game after a long wait while the Division II teams finished up the 5th period. Hotchkiss scored first and it was a low scoring game. It was looking like the Hotchkiss players would keep Nobles scoreless, that was until late in the third period. They kept the pressure on to end it in regulation with a final blitz in the last minute. Another OT Championship game but this one would end in the first minute of the first OT period with Nobles pushing off an attack and delivering the puck for the 2-1 (OT) win for the 2008 bragging rights as Div I champs...
