New Balance Fields in Worcester are always a challenge to get to, today was no exception with the afternoon traffic on the Mass Pike. Arrived to find the Southfield girls down by one, they quickly tied it only to be answered again by Worcester Academy. The first half would end in a 2-2 tie. The first 4 minutes of the second half looked like our girls were going to run away with it going up 5-2. The WA coach called a time out and got her girls back on track and the battle grew intense. With just over 18 minutes to go the lead was cut to just one goal. Then with just under 12 minutes to go we were back to a tie game 7-7 The next goal would come at 8:57 left in the game and the intensity was turned up. WA came on strong as did our goalie. 3:45 up two. At the two minute mark WA in our zone, time stopped for every whistle, it seemed like it took 5 minutes just to get 20 seconds off the clock. A very exciting 9-7 win at WA on the final road trip for the season
