Besides forgetting the away game shirts, it started out well as the Leafs scored from the blue line with 17 seconds into the game. Then the penalties started and so did the Pirates goals. End of the first Pirates took advantage of most of the power plays and a 5 on 3 and retire after 1 period with a 3-1 lead.
With the game shirts on the leafs would work the power play and make it 3-2 but penalties would plague them in the second as well. The 3rd as well and there were several players in the box to end the game. Leafs head home after this 8-4 loss.
