Well they were off to a good start, first shift, first goal at just 28 seconds into the game. They would remain in the lead for about 15 minutes when the pirates would tie up the game. The game would remain tie until about halfway into the second period when the Pirates would take the lead on a 4 on 4. All tied up with 2:35 to go then two leafs to the box for a 5 on 3, and pirates capitalize making it 3-2 and then on the 5 on 4 another goal to send the Leafs to the locker room in the hole by two at the end of two. Plenty of time to think about the penalty kill changes. With 11:11 left they would spread the lead to 3. With a little over 5 minutes left they would make it 6-2 and a Leaf player got ejected. This would go down as a6-2 loss for the leafs.
