Friday January 24th, 2014 – The Return of #22 to the ice.. The Zamboni broke, the Mic System Broke while announcing the Trinity team and there was no national anthem. Could it be the hockey gods were not on their side? Trinity in purple for the charity game and our girls wore the traditional home whites. Well less than 5 minutes in they punched in their first goal and we were behind. Blame it on bus legs but the girls never got in a great rhythm to start the game. They would pick up the pace at the end of the first and bring back the pressure in the second. The netting the first goal with just under 5 minutes in with a blast from out front and a redirect to beat the goalie. With a let down of play on both teams a trinity player sent it towards our net to get a line change, and it trickled through the pads for a five hole goal and Trinity back on top. Then down by one again with just over a minute to go with a sweet move in front of the net and some nice work in front the goalie left the top right wide open and bang we head to the locker room with it tie 2-2. Then with just over 5 minutes gone in the third as we got aggressive the puck found its way onto a trinity stick and resulted in a breakaway and the final goal of the game. We would pull our goalie and outshoot them in the third but could not find the back of the net and the girls departed for the hotel to get some rest for a 4 pm game on Saturday
