Here we go again at Sage Rink, less than 3 minutes into the game 1-0 Hamilton. It would not be long before the Ephs started showing frustration and taking some penalties, one penalty would send #3 crashing into the boards and out for the remainder of the game. The start of the second period just under 2 minutes with SOG 12-6 in our favor we would notch another one. Mid way through the period we would give them a 3-5 opportunity and they would take advantage of this gift and bring it to within one goal and balance out the SOG in the process. The third period would start with a quick goal but not ours, the game was tied with 18:25 to play, with our SOG advantage quickly slipping away. Three minutes later we took back the lead. Then as #2 pushed down our player as she was breaking to the net, it is not exactly clear to me how the puck ended up slipping by the goalie to spread out lead. Williams turned up the heat and pulled their goalie with about 2-1/2 minutes left to play. SOG final for the game was in Williams’s favor 29-25 but we found the back in the net more today. Overall I think this is fairly good match up between the two teams and great games this weekend, hard fought and the game plans really changed throughout the day as the coaches battled to exploit the other team’s weaknesses. http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1112/boxes/whamwil1.j14
