Hamilton vs. Bowdoin Jan 15, 2011
It did not take long for Bowdoin to capitalize on the first power play of the game. With just 38 seconds into the first power play of the game it was Bowdoin 1-0. Then the Continentals goalie put on a show and sparked her team to an impressive effort in the first period. Working on the boards paid off as an off the boards chip and a break out lead to a 2-1 and a clean goal before the end of 1 to send the teams to the locker room all tied up. During the second there was a dip in the pace for the Continentals and the 2nd goal, which I will call an open netter did not help. As the Bowdoin player put if off the boards to dump and change our goalie came out to play it in the corner when it hit a seam and deflected into the net for a freaky goal with 16 minutes left to play in the 2nd. Rhis period to Bowdoin who took a huge advantage with SOG during a back to back penalty kill The third still down by 1 and starting with the power play the Continental still struggle with the power play. The girls got the spark back and won the SOG for the third period. The final goal of the game another open netter and the last goal in this 3-1 loss on home ice
