Parents weekend, Bicentennial Weekend, Field Hockey’s day to shine. Many parents made the trip to see the Hamilton girls put up two quick ones on #12 ranked undefeated Amherst College Amherst’s first shock came with less than 2 minutes into the game with good passing in front. The next came with under 10 minutes into the game with some good hard work in front of the net. 2-0 Hamilton who dominated the first half getting ahead with 10-4 in shots. Amherst would come back with their only goal with 9:16 left in the first half. The second half there was a lot of play in the neutral zone and Amherst limited Blue to just 4 shots and all 7 for Amherst but both freshman goalies kept the ball out of their respective nets. What a great effort and a 2-1 win to start the weekend off.
