Mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, this game was all about getting out of the NESCAC cellar. Girls played hard and had several chances early, but Williams was the first to score on this cool night in Williamstown. They got on the board with 13:53 left in the first half. Just about 6 minutes later after a deflection off the corner Nikki would make it a 1-1 game.
Williams would find the back of our net again with just over 5 minutes into the 2nd half, then again 5 minutes later making it 3-1. The penalty cards came out tonight as we got two green cards in the 2nd half. Still fighting back they girls were able to get some offense going, but not finding the back of the net.
Season Over/ Career Over.. Nikki got the very first goal of the season in the first game in 2010 and finished off her Hamilton Field Hockey career by getting the last goal of the very last game in 2013. Bookend goals to a great time at Hamilton – Lots of good times have been had over the past 4 seasons. Best of luck to the underclassmen next year and the Seniors as they start a new chapter in life. – Go Blue!!!
