Hamilton Field Hockey vs. William Smith Oct 8, 2010
There is a lot of recent history between William Smith and Hamilton, each of the last two game ended in OT come from behind wins for the Continentals. It looked like the Heron’s came to play today getting on the board in the first minute of the game. They would strike again with just over 8 minutes left in the half. Then with just 19 seconds left in the half, Hamilton would make it 2-1 setting up a very competitive 2nd half.
They would play aggressively for the entire half and with just under 8 minutes left would tie the game 2-2 off a corner. The game would end with William Smith getting a corner with no time on the clock. Now into Sudden Victory Overtime. William Smith breakaway was broken up by a diving feet first save by our goalie, that turned over the ball and moved it up the field, shot hits the post, rebound delivered for the 3-2 OT win and the 3rd straight OT win for the Continentals over William Smith at 7:15 into OT.
