Geysistofa Geysir only one active geysir at the moment but she goes off about every 3 to 7 minutes. Beware don't stand down wind when she goes or you will get wet! Golden Circle Tour The three primary stops on the route are Þingvellir, Gullfoss, and the geothermally active valley of Haukadalur, which contains the geysers Geysir and Strokkur. Þingvellir is a national park containing both historical and natural beauties. Gullfoss, meaning golden falls, is a spectacular waterfall that is a must see. Cingular Falls, or at least that is how Anna said it. Gullfoss is a waterfall located on the White River (Hvítá) in south central Iceland. Its name means the Golden Falls(Click Here) Sigríður Tómasdóttir, the daughter of Tómas Tómasson was determined to save the waterfall from utilization and even threatened to throw herself into the waterfall. A very popular story is that Sigríður did save the waterfall from utilization, however, this is not true.
